Chilli 1: Aji Pineapple

The Aji Pineapple (Capsicum baccatum), originally from Peru, is a vibrant, crunchy chilli with a sweet, pineapple-like flavour. It delivers a moderate heat of 20,000–30,000 SHU, offering warmth without overpowering spice. The pods are about 6 × 2 cm, ripening from light green to bright yellow. Growing up to 1 metre in pots, this bushy plant may need staking for support and makes a colourful, flavourful addition to any garden.

Chilli 2: Aji Omnicolour

Aji Omnicolor is a tasty chilli from Peru that’s not only delicious but also looks vibrant. These Baccatum chillies produce a lot and fall into the upper mid-heat category, scoring between 10,000 and 50,000 on the Scoville scale. These chillies bring both flavour and heat to your dishes without being too overpowering. The Aji Omnicolor is your ticket to adding an exotic flavour boost to dishes like fish, chicken, or stir-fries.

Chilli 3: Sugar Rush Stripey

The Sugar Rush Stripey (Capsicum baccatum) is an Aji-type chilli known for its elongated, tapered pods and vibrant appearance. It offers a fruity, mildly sweet flavour with an upper-medium heat level of 25,000–50,000 SHU, hotter than Sugar Rush Peach. The pods ripen from light yellow-green to peach/orange with striking red stripes, giving it standout visual appeal. Growing over 1 metre in pots or the ground, it is a strong, high-producing plant ideal for both gardeners and cooks.

Chilli 4: THSC Chocolate Scorpion

Meet The Hippy Seed Company’s Chocolate Trinidad Scorpion (THSC): an incredibly spicy Chinese pepper with a distinctive flavour profile of earthiness, smokiness, and hints of fruitiness. It’s “Insanely Hot” at 1.5 to 2 million Scoville units, adding rich colour and texture to dishes. Perfect for spicing up sauces, salsas, meats, and desserts.

Chilli 5: Biquinho Iracema

The Biquinho Iracema (Capsicum chinense) is a mild, sweet chilli similar to Pimenta de Bico but with larger, sweeter, and gentler pods. It offers a very sweet, fruity flavour with a mild heat of 500–1,000 SHU, making it suitable for everyone. Its small, pointy 3 cm pods ripen in creamy white, orange, and red hues, giving the plant a striking look. Growing to 70 cm tall and about 1 metre wide, it is an easy, prolific variety ideal for pickling or making mild chilli jam.

Plenty of Seeds for Your Garden
