One thing is for sure, it will spice up any meal. These peppers offer a complex flavour profile, initially delivering a fruity, slightly sweet taste. Bhut Jolokia falls within the extremely hot level, boasting a Scoville rating ranging from 750,000 to 2,693,000. Bhut Jolokia peppers exhibit a distinctive appearance, with wrinkled skin and a red, orange, or chocolate brown colouration.
Chilli 2: Byadgi
Byadgi Chilli is also known as ‘Kaddi Chilli’ – which means ‘stick-like chilli’. The Byadgi has great flavour with medium heat. One of the best chillies for some non-extreme Indian cooking. Scoring between 2,500 to 10,000 on the Scoville scale, Byadgi Chilli falls in the category of mild These elongated, wrinkled chillies display a deep red colour with a thin skin.

Lal Mirch Chilli is a fantastic producing chilli from India. Used in Indian cooking dried to increase its hotness. Another good idea is to dry them and put them in a grinder. Mettupalayam chilli is classified as “Extremely Hot” on the Scoville scale, with a heat range of 300,000–750,000 Scoville Heat Units. Mettupalayam chilli peppers are small, elongated, and exhibit vibrant shades of red and green.
