Description
Cabe Chilli Pepper
Capsicum Annuum
It is not often we have a variety from Bali. Cabe means chilli in Bali and it’s pronounced “Chabey”.
The chilli plant grows well in a pot to just over 50 cm in a pot. If it is planted in the ground it would grow much bigger. It’s a bushy type of plant and it looks amazing when it is full of light green and white pods. At first the peppers are white and them they turn to orange/red colour when ripe. Sizewise they are about 3-5 cm long with a mid heat and great flavour.
The Cabe Chilli Pepper is used in the Indonesian cuisine and it will add some heat to any dish you cook. A bonus is it’s a great producing pepper, so you will get lots of fruit.
Heat Level: Upper mid heat – 7/15
