Banjul Markets Gambia Pepper
‘A Rare Chilli From Africa’
The Banjul Markets Gambia Pepper is a stunning variety. Tall and full of hundreds of pods.
The plant grows well in a pot to over 1.2 metre high and would get massive, if you plant it in the ground though. It is one of the best producing chilli varieties and it keeps on giving you pods for many months. The pods grow upwards and start off a creamy white colour, then orange and end up red once ripe.
The pods are soft and squishy and approx 4-5 cm long and 1 cm wide. Once they are ripe, they seem come off the plant at the slightest touch.
All round a really great and rare chilli variety. It’s an awesome producer of great salty and sweet tasting pods. They would go really well with most foods and as they dry easily they would make a great powder.
Flavour wise: Thin walled pods with a salty sweet flavour. We love the different taste it has compared to most of the Annuums.
Heat wise: The heat comes quick and builds to a decent level around 7/15
10-12 chilli seeds per pack.
