Yellow Cayenne Pepper
“Perfect flavour and heat for delicious medium spiced Indian cuisine.”
Yellow Cayenne Pepper originates from the Cayenne district of French Guiana in South America. Along side the Red Cayenne and Asian Birds Eye, the Yellow Cayenne pepper is probably one of the most known and used chillies worldwide.
The pods are 8 to 10 cm long. They are thin fleshed and can be eaten green or yellow. However, the longer they are left to ripen on the bush, the more powerful the heat and flavour will be.
The Yellow cayenne is slightly sweeter and smoother than the Red Cayenne. But, just like the Red Cayenne this variety has the absolute perfect flavour and heat for delicious medium spiced Indian cuisine. This pepper can also be used to make your very own hot sauce or powder – with more flavour than you could ever hope to buy in the shops.
