Aji Camba originates from Peru. Of all C. Baccatums this is definitely one of the most spectacular varieties. The pods have an amazing colour change which include green, white, yellow, purple and when they are ripen and it is time to harvest the pods become a bright red.
The plant grows to about 1 metre in a pot and will probably grow bigger, if you plant it in the ground. The pods are elongated, 7.5 cm long and is an awesome producer.
We have used the Aji Camba in this ‘Salsa de Palta’ (Peruvian Guacamole) and it was excellent.
A very rare chilli with a fantastic colour change in the pods. An upper mid heat and salty taste.
