Description
Yellow Bhut Jolokia
‘Also known as Yelow Ghost Pepper’
C. Chinense
The Yellow Bhut Jolokia is the yellow version of the previous World Record Holder Bhut Jolokia. Sweet and fruity with the recognizable Bhut flavour.
The plant grows really well in a pot to over 1.5 meters in height. It would grow even bigger, if you plant it in the ground. Furthermore it is a great producer of extremely hot chilli peppers, so if you are looking for a super hot, this would be a great choice.
The Yellow Bhut originates from north-eastern India, particularly Assam, Nagaland and Manipur. The “red” Bhut Jolokia was the world’s hottest chilli for years, and before that it was the Red Savina Habanero.
You could use the Yellow Bhut for a hot sauce or make your own super charged chilli powder. All in all an amazing chilli variety with a stunning look.
