Sili-A-Top
‘An absolute stunning chilli from the Philippines’
C. Baccatum
Sili-A-Top originates from the Philippines and is one of our favourite Baccatum varieties.
When this plant is grown in a pot it grows approximate 70 cm in height. However, when it is planted in the ground it can double in height.
It is a great producing chilli with a very long season. Here in Australia* it is still podding up during winter, so a variety you will be able to pick pods from even in the cooler months. Another noteworthy thing about this chilli is the amazing colour change of the pods.
*Our winter temperatures goes down to around 2 degrees in night time and around 15-20 degrees during the day.
You will see green pods, green with purple tinge, light orange, orange with a warm red tinge, and finally a warm orange colour, when they are ready to eat. Not only is this chilli a great producer is also super easy to grow, so this is a fantastic chilli if you are a grower who is just starting out.
They would be great sliced up in a stir-fry or use fresh in thin slices and sprinkled over your dinner.
We recommend you try our variety seed packs for a GREAT discount

Amazing flavor !!
These grow into a large bush covered in fruit. Definitely wait for them to fully ripen when green they have a sharp bite and not much more. Once fully orange they have an amazing fruity flavor kinda peachy with a bit of lime and pomello flavor. Not to hot just perfect.

Excellent germination time. I used paper towel method and it took only 2 days to see the first one pop.
