Queen Laurie Chilli
‘Crunchy pods with an instant fruity flavour’
C. Baccatum
Queen Laurie Chilli is a big Baccatum variety from Peru.
Easy to grow and in a pot and the plant grows to over over 1.5 meters in height. We use a tomato cage to contain it a bit. Imagine if this chilli is planted in a garden bed, it would be enormous.
The pods are 6-7 cm long about 2 cm wide and start green and ripen to a bright orange in colour. A great producing chilli and another bonus is, it seems to like a cooler climate. Also, it seems to handle the warm Australian summer and it was one of the last to finish podding up last season.
If you love a big plant with delicious tasting chillies this variety is one of a kind. The pods have a instant fruity and sweetness flavour and is one of the hotter C. Baccatum’s. Perfect for any dish require some heat, a spicy powder, a chilli sauce or jam.
All round great chilli variety, easy to grow, great producer, and has a long season. Furthermore, taste amazing and has a really nice type of burn.
