Peter Penis Pepper is a Capsicum Annuum from unknown origin. It is a very rare chilli and it is known for its striking resemblance to the male genitalia. The plant grows 50 cm to 70 cm high in a pot and looks really cool, when it’s full of bright red phallic looking pods.
The pods are 8-12 cm long and 2-3 cm wide. They ripen from green to bright red.
The Peter Penis Pepper would go great in salads and any dish where you don’t want the heat to overpower the dish. Could be funny to pickle and give as a gift.
All in all an amazing looking plant with one of the most memorable looking chilli peppers.
Flavour wise: Crunchy with a delicious sweet and fruity flavour, a bit like the Bishops Crown.
