Description
Inca Drop Red
‘Very unusual flavours both sweet and sour’
Capsicum Baccatum
Inca Drop Red is a rare and tasty chilli from Peru.
This plant is huge and will need a few plant stakes, due it is a gangly Baccatum. In a pot it grows to over 100 cm in height and it will grow even bigger, if you plant it in the ground. Very easy to grow and furthermore it has a long season.
The pods are about 2.5 cm long and they start off a white colour. Then they change to orange and when they are fully mature they are red and ready to pick.
Like many of the Baccatum varieties, they have a very long season and produce lots of these amazing peppers during the season.
The walls are thick, nearly as a Rocoto. Use it fresh sliced and sprinkled over your dinner or make a nice chilli powder.
What a delicious chilli and definitely worth growing. We can only recommend this rare chilli.
Flavour wise: First you get a fruity tange, then you get a light sweet flavour.
Heat level: Medium heat with a deep burn.
10-12 chilli seeds per pack.
