Fidalga Preto Pepper
C. Chinense
Fidalga Preto Pepper is a beautiful C. Chinense from Brazil. It looks like a little umbrella tree full of hanging black and red pods. Great flavour and heat.
Fidalga means a gentle woman in Portugese and Preto means black.
This one looks amazing, actually stunning. The pods are thin walled, start of dark purple, almost black and end up red. They have a neat shape and are 5-6 cm long & 2 cm wide. This variety is very prolific and the peppers have an unusual citrusy flavour. If you’re looking for something rare and unique, do not miss this one!
The plant grows to over a meter tall in a pot and would grow a bit bigger, if you plant it in the ground.
Excellent in any dish chopped up over you food.
Flavour wise: Citrus fruity flavour with a hint of apple
Heat level: Instant heat with a deep burn and about 9/15
10-12 chilli seeds per pack
