The Caysan Chill is a large vigorous plant with prolific yields of smooth straight tapered fruit. The plant grows to about a metre in a pot and would grow bigger, if you plant it in the ground.
The pods go from dark green and turn red, when they are fully mature. It is widely used in Indo-Chinese cooking including hot pepper sauces, Cajun-Creole dishes, Indian, Indonesian, Thai, Pakistan and Hunan dishes. The pods can also be dried and powdered as a spice.
All in all it’s a beautiful chilli plant full of delicious sweet pods, easy to grow and a great producer.
