Carbonero
‘Sweet with a fruity tinge, it’s delicious’
Capsicum Chinense
The Carbonero is a chilli developed by Tony Sherwood from the US of A. A cross between a Bhut Carbon and a Habanero and it is a beautiful looking plant.
The plant grows really well in a pot to 60 cm in height. It is bushy and solid, and furthermore an amazing producer. The pods start off green and then turn to a warm orange colour once ripe.
Crisp and crunchy pods with a slight naga flavour and it is really sweet with a fruity tinge. It is an amazing flavour and we love it.
Would be great for a chilli jam, a chilli sauce or a fantastic chilli powder.
All in all a stunning looking plant and an amazing producer of delicious tasting chillies, its definitely one worth growing.
