Description
Cabe Chilli Pepper
‘A chilli from Bali’
Capsicum Annuum
It is not often we have a variety from Bali. Cabe means chilli in Bali and it’s pronounced “Chabey”.
The chilli plant grows well in a pot to just over 50 cm in height. If you plant in the ground, you will get a much bigger plant.
It’s a bushy type of plant and it looks amazing when it is full of light green and white pods. At first the chillies start off white and them they change colour to orange/red colour and are now ready to be picked. Size wise they are about 3-5 cm long with a mid heat and great flavour.
The Cabe Chilli Pepper is used in the Indonesian cuisine and it will add some heat to any dish you cook. A bonus is it’s a great producing pepper, so you will get lots of fruit.
Heat Level: Upper mid heat – 7/15
